Strategic Planning and Action Plan for Conservation International

Name: Strategic Planning and Action Plan for Conservation International
Duration: January 2007 - May 2007
Donor: Conservation International

The purpose of this project was to support Conservation International (CI) with the development and design of the organization's Regional Strategy and Action Plan for the Moore Foundation. The objectives were 1) to design the CI's regional strategic plan for the Conservation International-Biodiversity Conservation Center Andes (CBC) Biodiversity Conservation Center, which includes land conservation and the integration between land and marine programs and 2) to elaborate the strategic framework for the next four years based on a methodology previously agreed with the Moore Foundation. This plan targets tropical hotspots in the Andes, and the Tumbes-Choco-Magdalena as well as in the Amazon basin. The final product included a regional theory of change, developed with input from each of the participating countries (counties? regions?) in the region.
