The GESC Institute offers project management training courses to NGOs to enhance their capacity to carryout project activities. In 2006 a partnership was established between PFIZER, the GESC Institute, and Pact Brasil to introduce HIV/AIDS content in the 29th and 30th editions of GESC Course. Course material covered conceptualizing, designing, implementing, managing, monitoring, and evaluating HIV/AIDS prevention projects and applied a unique methodology that included assessment of each organization's strengths and weaknesses and collective development of a work plan to address areas of weakness. The course benefited a total of 20 Brazilian organizations that received 176 classroom hours of instruction.
