What We Do

Research

CBSG's Action Research Initiative: The CBSG is working every day to gather the practices and insights that can help you move from an organizational island to an extended social development enterprise. The lab showcases a few of our favorite ideas that are still in the works and some that have graduated to the big time. Please take a look and send us your comments

IDEAS   LAB GRADUATES

Decision Markets for Development
A decision market harnesses crowd wisdom to provide a powerful indication of the quality of an idea. It's like a stock market where traders buy and sell shares of ideas instead of companies. It is also a virtual intersection a place where divergent fields, cultures, and disciplines can meet in order to foster and encourage innovation. Participants can find solutions to their challenges, identify proven tools and approaches that can be replicated, or suggest how others might improve their work. You can see a live pilot at globalgiving.inklingmarkets.com.

Dynamic Modeling
Dynamic modeling software represents a specific system and the relationship of its individual components. Pact's CBSG is using this technology to test how potential changes within a system will impact overall system performance. This technology will help us and others determine which interventions should be pursued to achieve maximum impact at lowest cost. Pact?s Capacity Building Services Group is piloting this idea with its partner Blue Maris Ventures to tackle trafficking of persons in Cyprus.
